I'm using the NTSC-U version of this game. Will the PAL/EU Bad Egg codes and other codes work with my US version? Do I use the region free codes with the PAL/EU codes?

They most likely won't work on NTSC-U; they will have to be ported. However, region-free codes will work on any region. A button activator will work for any code. Although, for those codes, I don't really think you would need an activator, but that's just me. Also, using a region-free button activator on a code will NOT make the code work for your region.
